Mail Attachments MCP
A small server that runs on your own computer and saves email attachments from your Gmail account to local files, so an AI assistant such as Claude can read them.
What it does
Gmail integrations for AI assistants can search mail and list attachments, but often can't open them. Mail Attachments MCP adds the missing step. When you ask your assistant to look at an attachment, it calls this server with the message and attachment, and the server saves that file to a private folder on your computer.
- Read-only: it asks Google only for permission to read mail, and it never sends, changes or deletes anything in your account.
- Local: it runs on your machine. Your mail and your Google sign-in are never sent to the developer or to any other service.
- On request: it fetches only the attachments you or your assistant ask for. It doesn't scan or copy your mailbox.
